Calendy FAQ

Questions from appointment-based business owners, answered.

See how Calendy helps salons, clinics, studios, barbers, and other service businesses manage bookings, clients, staff, and trials without marketplace noise or per-appointment cuts.

1

How is Calendy different from other booking apps?

Calendy is built as a private booking and client-management workspace for your own business, not a shared marketplace. Your booking page keeps the focus on your brand, clients are not shown competing businesses, and Calendy does not take per-appointment cuts or extra fees from your service price. You keep the full price of every service you sell.

2

Do I need a card to start the Pro trial?

Yes, a card is required during signup, but you will not be charged when the trial starts. Your first charge only happens after the trial period ends, unless you cancel or schedule a plan change before then.

3

How quickly can I set up my booking page?

You can create a clean booking page in just a few minutes if you already know your services, working hours, and team setup. More detailed service menus may take a little longer, but the onboarding flow keeps the setup focused.

4

Can I manage clients in Calendy like a CRM?

Yes. On Pro and higher plans, Calendy includes a Clients workspace where you can manage contact details, booking history, notes, preferences, and other client information for service-based businesses.

5

Can my staff use Calendy too?

Yes. You can invite team members, assign services, control permissions, and decide who appears on the online booking page.

6

Can clients book online without calling us?

Yes. Your public booking page lets clients choose services, professionals, and available times online, while your team still manages the calendar from the workspace.

7

Can I downgrade from Pro to Basic before I am charged?

Yes. Go to Billing in your workspace, choose the downgrade option for Basic, and confirm the change. The downgrade is scheduled for the next billing period, so if you still have trial time left, the first paid period will start on Basic instead of Pro.
